Please have commentary to me by&nbsp;<b>20 December 2017.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Heraldry Hut<\/b>: There will be no meeting in December.<\/p>\n<p align=\"CENTER\"><b>Please consider the following submissions for the December 2017 Letter of Intent:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Mathurin Annarson&nbsp;<\/b>(Tir Ysgithr): NEW NAME and DEVICE<\/p>\n<p><i>Gules, on a fess cotised argent two trident heads conjoined at the neck fesswise sable.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Saint&nbsp;<i>Mathurin<\/i>&nbsp;was a French missionary (d. 300). He is first mentioned at Maturinus in the Martyrology of Usuard, writien in 875. His relics were kept at Saint-Mathurin, Larchant, as well as in the church of Saint-Mathurin in Paris. Saint-Mathurin de Larchang, a porperty of the chapter of Notre-Dame de Paris since 1005, was rebuilt beginning in 1153, and it became a popular pilgrimage site. (<a href=\"https:\/\/orthodoxwiki.org\/Mathurin_of_Larchant\">https:\/\/orthodoxwiki.org\/Mathurin_of_Larchant<\/a>) The name has been registered a few times with the SCA College of Arms.<\/p>\n<p><i>Annar<\/i>&nbsp;is an Old Norse masculine name, a variant of&nbsp;<i>\u00c1<\/i><i>narr<\/i>&nbsp;(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nordicnames.de\/wiki\/Anarr\">https:\/\/www.nordicnames.de\/wiki\/Anarr<\/a>). I couldn&#8217;t find it either with the Viking Answer Lady website or in Geirr Bassi (I hope it&#8217;s just uncommon, rather than only a supernatural\/mythical name. In Norse mythology, Anarr is the name of a dwarf in the literary&nbsp;<i>V<\/i><i>\u01eb<\/i><i>lusp<\/i><i>\u00e1<\/i>).
